Kdrama tier list
K-Drama
S-Tier
- Crash landing on you
- Vincenzo- Eclectic cast of characters particularly the side characters, each episode was full of surprises and kept me entertained throughout. Love hidden secrets and “nonsense” comedy like Inzhagi the bird coming to save the day. Comedy/thriller/heist/action/legal/drama/revenge story- you get it all. OST instrumentals were perfect for every scene they are in the background in.
- The world of the married- best acting I’ve seen in a kdrama so far or even American shows. Nothing felt forced. The characters behaved like I imagine they could in real life.
- Extracurricular- I could relate to the desperation displayed by the characters the most. Each of them running from something or trying to escape something. The writer must’ve gone through something similar because the emotions are so real. scene were oji is experiencing all the walls caving in before he explodes after Mr.Lees death and Gyuri leaving and Minhee finding out that hes uncle was exactly how I felt everything was closing in when I was quitting both jobs and so many other times in my life. If only there was an escape, with someone to talk to. Obv plot holes since Oji/Jisoo could’ve just wiped the phone that Gyuri stole out of his backpack remotely. And took a backup phone! Problem solved, no more evidence or Gyuri problems. Plus he was supposedly smart so why wouldn’t he have a backup. He was book smart but extremely careless. So characterization issue.
- Itaewon class - really good but the biggest fault is the annoying someone until they like you trope. She should’ve moved on and I don’t like what they did to his original girls character
A-Tier
- The Uncanny Counter
- It’s Okay to not be Okay
- Hotel Del Luna
- Stranger S1
- Encounter
- Signal
B-Tier
- Stranger S2
- Flower of Evil
- Spies who loved me
C-Tier (skipped through these shows)
- Taxi Driver. Started off so strong but the writer switch killed the show and it stopped being fun.
- 100 Days my Prince
- Memories of the Alhambra- Shin Hye-Park
- Decendants of the sun - slowly devolved into nonsense. Unrealistic fights, slow to shoot, cringe romance. Female lead didn’t react like a normal woman would in many situations. Too cliche.
- Undercover - boring, little pay off in the reveal. Cinematography was joyless. It gets point for the secluded road song which is fire.

Things to learn to slightly improve show descriptions: “Characterization”
I had no expectations but was still disappointed
