My Experience reading Born to Run
Books 2020:
Born to Run: About a man looking for the answer to a question, why do my feet hurt? Takes him to meet ultramarathon American and Latin legends. He discovers that when you run because you love the activity, movement, and process, rather than the end goal, everything falls into place. Running has a heavy anchor in human evolution and is the reason were here today. Specifically, he started running light, with a straight back, forward head, arms moving in a pendulum, legs pushing the earth back, learned to eat simply so the body doesn’t have to process so much. Proper breathing, and footwear, do what works for you but the tarahumarans run in flip flops fashioned from car tires and can outlast major marathoners. -this book reinforced my love for running and helped me put words to the why for activity that I’ve been doing for four years now.
