Perspective

Have you ever been on a mission to do something, and been stopped in your tracks by an obstacle you didn't account for?

On a scheduled 3 mile run in Chicago, a large "construction ahead" sign and cone blocked my path, obsucring the path in my line of sight. My immediate thought was to turn around and run back a quarter mile.

I slowed to a jog, and I peered to the left of the sign and noticed a small unobstructed strip of sidewalk, and calculated enough clearance to duck under the sign and stay on course. So, I picked up my pace, passed the sign, and looked back to read the monitor that said "Use Extra Caution".

Point is, your path forward may not always be clear. You may have to slow down, rethink components of your mission. Doesn't mean you have to scrap the entire plan, and pivot to something else entirely. Just a slight shift in perspective, can illuminate the path forward.
